Abbott Elementary actress Janelle James will still visit Webster University, just later than expected. The headliner’s Q&A was pushed back four months, to April 8, due to scheduling conflicts.
“We try to host one [headliner] each semester, fall and spring, but it doesn’t always work out that way based on artist availability and space availability on campus,” said Jennifer Stewart, director of Student Engagement. “When we needed to reschedule her, that bumped her to April and didn’t give us enough time to find a replacement for fall.”
James was originally scheduled to visit the Loretto Hilton Center on Dec. 4, but on Nov. 27, it was announced that the event would be postponed.
Hollywood’s actor’s union strike ended on Nov. 9, reopening production for Abbott Elementary. In the show, James plays principal Ava Coleman.
Students will receive one free ticket to the now-Spring Headliner. Friends and family can buy tickets now at $20 each.
