Webster University’s 2015 commencement speaker Jennifer Lewis is returning for Webster’s Centennial Gala in November.

ABC’s Blackish star, activist, singer and 1974 Webster alumna is set to attend the celebration of Webster’s one hundredth year on Nov. 14.

The Gala is a black-tie event to cap off Webster’s centennial at St. Louis’ Union Station.

“We are planning an elegant and inclusive affair to commemorate this historic year,” said Marilyn Fox, Centennial Gala chair. “Hosting in Union Station with its extraordinary splendor will make the occasion even more memorable.”

Webster President Elizabeth Stroble said the Gala would be a chance for Webster to showcase the talent Webster has to offer, past and present.

“The Centennial Gala will present our very talented alumna, Jennifer Lewis, and showcase some of our impressive students,” Stroble said in a press release. “We encourage everyone in the region to come celebrate with us on what will be a remarkable evening to top off our centennial year and propel us into the future.”
