Men’s Baseball set to start third world series against Cortland


Webster University Men’s Baseball team will begin their NCAA Division III World Series run on Friday. The team will face the Cortland Red Dragons at 1:15 p.m. in Grand Chute, WI.

Webster defeated Carthage College 5 – 1 to sweep the Waterloo Regional and advance to the NCAA Division III World Series on May 17. The team’s triumph at the regional left their record at 34 -13. This will be Webster’s third world series in four years.

State University of New York: Cortland’s Red Dragons are currently 40 – 4 on the season after defeating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 7 – 1 in the New York Auburn, NY.

Webster will compete against eight teams in a double elimination format.
