Webster University Campus Activities announced Grammy award-winning musical group A Great Big World as the performers for Springfest 2015.
A Great Big World is made up of New York pop singer-songwriter duo Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino. The two are best known for their 2013 single “Say Something” featuring Christina Aguilera, which hit #1 on iTunes, #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is certified four times platinum.
At the 57th annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 8, the duo and Aguilera took home the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Say Something.” A Great Big World’s debut album, “Is Anybody Out There?” was released on Jan. 21, 2014.
Springfest 2015 is set to take place on April 18 at 7:30pm in the Grant Gymnasium. Tickets can be purchased at the University Center information desk and are free for Webster students, $10 for faculty, staff and alumni, and $20 for the general public.
