Shortly after midnight, Webster University announced that all university campuses are closed on Tuesday, Nov. 25 including all day and evening classes are cancelled. The decision to close the campuses came after protests broke out in Ferguson because of the grand jury’s decision not to press criminal charges against Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson.

Webster President Elizabeth Stroble and Vice President and Provost Julian Schuster released an official saying the closing of the campuses was for the safety and concern of the Webster faculty and students who live in various areas around St. Louis.

The university Twitter page has also announced a public forum will be held in the Sunnen Lounge from 4-6 p.m., to discuss the grand jury decision and the events that occurred after the decision was announced.
