Webster Groves School district director is on the April 2 ballot. Joel T. Oliver, 32, and Steven S. Loher, 49, are running for the position. Loher has held the position since 2010.
Loher hopes that with his re-election, he will continue to work with state officials to make sure Webster Groves public education is strong, according to Stltoday.com. He also wants to “ensure that our community’s limited resources continue to be used wisely as we strive for excellence in our schools.”
Oliver told Stltoday.com he wants to keep a balance across the school district by working closely with the board. He hopes to “support initiatives and approaches that promote a positive environment for district employees and students,” according to Stltoday.com’s voter guide.
Oliver works with project management for U.S. Bancorp Community Development, and holds a M.A. in Real Estate Development and Urban Planning from St. Louis University. Loher is the CFO for G&W Engineering, and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
