After falling short by one vote last year, Webster University men’s soccer coach Marty Todt was elected to the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame on Feb 8.
“I am very humbled and overwhelmed by this honor,” Todt said. “I really didn’t expect this at all. This is one of the biggest honors you can get.”
Todt, who has coached men’s soccer at Webster for 24 years, has compiled a career record of 209-167-43. His teams have won five SLIAC championships.
“I really don’t like to draw attention to myself,” Todt said. “I love coaching and I am inspired by my players. They are such a great group of guys. I still have a passion for this game that has been so good to me and my family.”
Todt will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during a banquet at the Millennium Hotel in St. Louis on Oct. 13.
