A new academic planning system called WebsterOne is launching this October. To allow for this change, students are being asked to register for classes a month earlier than normal.

Registration now opens for seniors Sept. 30. The launch of the program also means Student Academic Services will be down from Oct. 25 to Nov. 18. Withdrawing from classes during this time will require a special online form. Students can make payments, however, changes will not appear in their student account.

“The schedule of classes should be showing up already for students to be able to view, so that they can start meeting with their academic advisors and then planning their classes and taking care of whatever else needs to be taken care of, finalizing financial aid, paying bills, things like that, so they can register, hopefully on those dates,” said Kyle McCool, Division of Student Success leader.

With WebsterOne, students will be able to plan their schedule, check their degree audit, view the housing portal and more, all in one place.

“It’s what all staff, faculty and adjuncts are going to use to operate their jobs,” McCool said.

Down the line, the program will include an option for students to map out their four-year undergraduate experience by planning what classes they will take each semester.

WebsterOne will allow university officials to be on the same page with every campus worldwide for all aspects of university proceedings.

“It’s gonna allow folks globally to be able to streamline their business processes and collaborate with our domestic leaders here more effectively, more efficiently,” WebsterOne Project Director Tori Smith said.

The program was initially supposed to launch in June of 2023, but due to the data not being ready to transfer to the new system, they pushed the change back to this upcoming October.
