I find it deeply disappointing that Webster didn’t hire a student to create the statue. They don’t seem to understand the skills that students have to be able to showcase. Imagine being able to say on a tour “A Webster student made this statue” when talking to prospective students. Even if they wanted to save a lot of money but still pay the student a reasonable rate, it could have been more economical too. I don’t think there was enough thought put into it.
