Webster University residents in Webster Village Apartment Building 5 were evacuated tonight after the alarm system went off during the thunder storms.
A Webster University Public Safety dispatcher said they believe the alarm went off due to a lightning strike to the Building 5 around 9:14 p.m. Public Safety has not confirmed the cause yet. The alarm was turned off at 11:10 p.m.
The Webster Groves Fire Department was called to the scene.
