According to Webster Today, five names were added to the Webster University Athletic Hall of Fame (HOF). The Webster athletic department made the announcement on Jan. 15.
The five names include Jerry Amsler (soccer), Alex Raetzoff (baseball), Dana Vahey (soccer, softball and basketball), Melissa Zwelling (volleyball) and Kevin Fann (soccer).
Webster’s HOF was established in 2010 and was created to honor those athletes that represented the university’s mission for their student athletes: success in the classroom, the community and in their sport. Former athletes who are deemed eligible for induction are then selected by a committee by current Webster faculty, coaches and staff.
The five athletes will be officially inducted into the HOF on Feb. 21 during a ceremony in Webster’s University Center.
