Webster University student employees will no longer fill out their timesheets on paper as of January 2014, when the university will implement an online payroll system. The university will no longer accept paper timesheets.
The university sent out an email on Dec. 2 that listed step-by-step instructions on how to personalize their Automatic Data Processing Portal. The email also asked employees to create their profile and begin to familiarize themselves with the system. Employees can currently practice logging hours while still submitting paper time sheets for the time being.
Webster employees will be required to use the new system to log hours, manage payment methods and manage other Human Resources information.
The system will go live on Dec. 15 for student employees and on Dec. 22 for faculty and staff. The university is asking employees to visit the online tutorial system located in the MapWorks Online classroom to learn more about the ADP Portal. In the ADP Portal, employees will find a tutorial for their respective positions—supervisor, staff/faculty or student employee. The online training system has videos detailing how to use all aspects of the ADP Portal.
If employees need further instruction to use the portal, there will be a command center to assist users located in Sverdrup, room 104 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
