Webster University now offers a tuition plan that will help military students gain access to fund their education. Through the new Military Tuition Assistance Protection (MTAP), current students who are eligible will receive a grant that covers payments these students may have lost from the suspension of other military assistance plans due to the sequestration.

Military students were informed that new applications for tuition assistance would not be accepted due to $85,000 in spending cuts that were initiated  March 1, 2013.

This grant can be used for both online and in-class undergraduate or graduate classes. The MTAP will stop giving assistance if military tuition is reinstated.

The new MTAP plan offers a grant covering up to $250 per credit hour to replace the suspended funds and there is no application fee for students seeking assistance.
