Kholood Eid, a journalism graduate student at the University of Missouri, discovered her image was being used to promote Webster’s MBA program after a friend texted her. The friend was in an airport when noticing Eid’s picture.
“It’s just weird,” said Eid to the Riverfront Times (RFT). “You’d think that they’d inform me before using my photo. That and I never pursued an MBA from Webster University.”
Eid received her undergraduate degree from Webster and is a former Journal photo editor. She told the RFT she remembered having her photo taken at the 2010 graduation. Eid added she thought the photo was intended for placement in Sverdrup Hall and didn’t recall signing a release. Susan Kerth, Webster media relations specialist, told the RFT the ad will be taken down.
