The Webster University women’s basketball team defeated the Augustana College (Ill.) Vikings 73-63 on Saturday, Nov. 24 at Grant Gymnasium. The win halts a two-game losing streak against nonconference opponents.
Senior guard Gwen Williams led Webster with 23 points. Sophomore forward/center Cassie Endicott left the game with 6:30 remaining in the second half with an ankle injury.
The win puts the Gorloks at 2-2 on the season as they prepare to take on St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent Blackburn College (Ill.) next week. Webster will take on the 0-3 Beavers on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. at Grant Gymnasium.
