AT LARGE SENATORS

Debora Aberastury

Position: At-Large Senator
Enrollment status: Junior
Area of study: Arts and Sciences
Major: International Relations and Spanish

Intent to run:
I’m running for the position of Senator-at-large for the 2012-2013 school year. Having had little time at my junior college before transferring, I have yet to make an impact within a college. Part of why I am running is so I’m able to make some good change before I graduate, especially to Webster that I hold near and dear to my heart. I believe that I’m qualified for this position because I have the passion; I have the open mind; I have the drive to fully fulfill the obligations that this position holds.

Statement of goals:
My goal is to increase the communication between organizations and students. Far too often, students hear about events at the last minute or occasionally the events don’t appeal to them enough to attend. I feel that increasing the communication will bring Webster closer together. Also, being a transfer student myself, I’ve recognized the cons of starting a new school. My other goal is the increase the flow of information to transfer students, especially those who transfer in during the spring, to make the transition much smoother.

Reasons for Running:
I am running so I can make some good change before I graduate, especially to Webster that I hold near and dear to my heart.

Qualifications:
I believe that I’m qualified because I have the passion, the open mind, and the drive to fully fulfill the obligations of this position.
