The Webster University women’s soccer team defeated rival Fontbonne University 3-0 on Sept. 7 at Gay Field in Clayton in a non-conference match.
Sophomore midfielder Katie Aubuchon opened the scoring for the Gorloks. Senior midfielder Amanda Zeier got the second goal, and sophomore midfielder Alexandra Nikolaus tallied the third.
Junior Shelby Wade and freshman Jessica Davis shared the shutout in goal for the Gorloks. The women’s soccer team is now 2-1 on the season.
Webster’s next match is a Sept. 11 road game against Monmouth College in Monmouth, Ill. The Gorloks begin conference play on Sept. 17 in a road game versus Spalding University.
