Webster University’s only student studying in Belgium at the Université libre de Bruxelles has been accounted for and is safe, a Webster University press release said today.
“We are relieved to report that she is safe and was not near the area of attacks. We are in contact with our European campus directors and checking if any of our European-based students were in Brussels today,” the statement read.
Tuesday, March 22 attackers launched several assaults in Belgium’s capital Brussels. Bombs detonated through the airport and the underground metro line killing more than 30 people and hundreds wounding hundreds.
Webster’s release stated several members the university have spoken to her by phone and also have been in contact with officials at her host university. The university did not reveal the personal details of this student.
