A new bicycle service station has been added on campus. Located on the University Center patio, the Dero Fixit Bike Service Station is a place for bikers to perform basic maintenance.

The station includes wrenches, screwdrivers, a bike lever and a tire pump. The tools can be used to perform basic bike repairs and maintenance, such as changing a flat and adjusting brakes. Hanger arms are in place to secure bikes while students repair them.

Webster student Juan Felipe Salas proposed the idea for the station as part of a $1,000 Sustainability Coalition grant. His grant was chosen among others.

The Webster University Sustainability Coalition is an open, voluntary forum any student may join. The next meeting will be March 18 at 1 p.m. in the East Academic Building, room 392. Discussions about new ideas and projects are welcome.
