Webster’s Multicultural Center and International Student Affairs (MCISA) will visit Washington, D.C. for the twentieth anniversary of the Million Man March.
The Million Man March was a gathering of African American men in 1995 in D.C. at the National Mall. The group gathered to convey to the world a different picture of the black male.
Webster, along with St. Louis Community College – Meramec, will travel to D.C. Oct. 9 for the anniversary. Buses will depart from the Webster Groves campus Oct. 9 and return Oct. 11.
The trip requires a $75 deposit, $30 of which will be refunded upon return.
Students can register at blogs.edu/mcisa and by contacting MCISA coordinator Corey Hawkins at coreyhawkins90@webster.edu.
