February 2014 will mark the fourth annual Webster University Teaching Festival. The festival started in 2011 and is an “occasion to celebrate and share effective and innovative teaching of Webster University’s faculty,” according to a Webster Today post.

The Webster University Faculty Development Center is currently accepting presentation proposals. This year’s theme is “New Ideas and New Perspectives,” and proposals that creatively reflect successful teaching strategies at Webster. Webster’s faculty, staff and students from around the world are welcome to submit proposals. The announcement on Webster Today says proposals should relate to the following questions:

How do you expose your students to new ideas?

What learning activities foster the development of new ideas?

How do you introduce your students to new perspectives?

How do students incorporate new and different perspectives into their own thinking?

The sumbissions deadline is Dec. 13.
