Webster University’s online graduate programs in education and business gained national recognition in a ranking by U.S. News and World’s 2013 report.
The report analyzed 190 online graduate education and 197 online graduate business programs around the country. Webster was declared No. 1 in Missouri for their online graduate education and No. 27 in the country. Webster’s online graduate business program came in third in Missouri and 62 in the country.
The report judged each program in categories of admissions selectivity, faculty credentials and training, peer reputation, student services and technology, and student engagement.
Dan Viele, associate vice president and director of Webster’s Online Learning Center, said in an interview on Webster Today that Webster decided to keep class sizes to 16 students or fewer. He said this promotes more engagement between faculty and students.
Julian Schuster, Webster provost and senior vice president, said in Webster Today, “Webster’s online programs incorporate the latest educational technologies to provide a high-quality learning experience.”
