The Webster University baseball team stays undefeated in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contests with a doubleheader sweep versus the Blackburn College Beavers, 9-2 and 15-1 in Carlinville, Ill., on April 7. Webster also defeated Blackburn on April 6 at GCS Ballpark, 10-0.
The Gorloks have now claimed six straight victories to put their record at 16-8 overall in 2012. Webster is also 9-0 against SLIAC competitors in its quest for a sixth consecutive conference title.
Baseball will be back in action on Tuesday, April 10, with a doubleheader versus the MacMurray College Highlanders (9-12, 4-8 SLIAC) starting at 5 p.m. The games will be at the Gorloks’ home field, GCS Ballpark, in Sauget, Ill.
