A portion of the first level of the parking garage will be blocked off for repairs as bolts supporting a water pipe fell to the ground approximately at 4 p.m., March 27. The pipe did not fall, and new bolts will be installed by campus facilities’ employees tonight. After repairs are complete, the first level entry ramp will be reopened.
“There was no recorded damage (to cars around the area),” Tracy Winka, head of public safety said. “We’re going to block the entry way (to the first level ramp) for inspection (tomorrow morning).”
Winka said about 20 parking spaces will be unavailable during early morning March 28 for an inspection of the repaired bolts.
