Search for associate provost close to an end

Webster University entered the Spring 2011 semester with three administrative positions to fill. Last week Webster invited students, faculty and staff to attend open forums for both the associate provost for planning, policies and operations and the chief communications officer/associate vice president for communications and strategic marketing.

Woman indicted for student financial fraud

According to a December FBI press release, a federal grand jury has indicted Michelle N. Owens, an inmate at Leath Correctional Institution in South Carolina, with one count of student financial aid fraud, one felony count of mail fraud and one felony count of aggravated identity theft for submitting fraudulent financial aid applications through Webster University’s online learning program.

Student death stuns Webster

Freshman Mason Gaddis died in his St. Louis home Tuesday. The circumstances of Gaddis’ death are not yet known. Mason Gaddis is the son of Ron Gaddis, an adjunct professor in the biology department.
