Webster University volleyball eliminated in first round of NCAA tournament

The Webster University Volleyball team was eliminated from the NCAA tournament on Nov. 14 in Elmhurst, Ill. The Gorloks fell to the Hope College (Mich.) Flying Dutch in three straight sets, 25-21, 25-13, 25-17. The Flying Dutch was the No. 1 ranked team in NCAA Division III entering the match.

The Flying Dutch were led by junior outside hitter Jenna Grasmeyer. Grasmeyer tallied 18 kills against the Gorloks  — junior outside hitter Anna Lynch was second, with nine kills for the Flying Dutch.

The Gorlok volleyball team finishes the season 26-9 overall, and 16-2 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic conference.
