The Journal reported that the Media Center and Photography Lab changed their hours of operation. The changes made to the Media Center and Photography Lab hours have been revoked since then. The hours have been changed back to the previous operating hours.
“It was an internal miscommunication,” said Jorge Oliver, chair and associate professor of the Electronic and Photographic Media Department.
The media center hours are still:
Monday-Friday: 8:30 a.m. — 12 a.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. — 12 a.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m. — 12 a.m.

On Feb. 14, the media center announced that it will be installing new operating hours starting Feb. 20. Closing hours, which in the past have been at 12:00 a.m. each day of the week, are now closing earlier on the weekends. The media center will now open at 8:00 a.m instead of 8:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday.
According an email announcement sent to faculty early Tuesday, the reason for the shift is to conform media services operating hours to the Information Technology (IT) department’s hours. The media center has been under IT management since last summer. The photography lab and studio’s operating hours have also changed.
